I'll be honest with you, because that's always been the deal between us.
Fast Moon is out. It's found readers — more than I let myself expect, if I'm being truthful, and every message from someone who stayed up too late finishing it still catches me off guard, in a good way. That part has been everything I hoped for.
But here's the part nobody warns you about: readers and reviews are not the same thing. A book can be read hundreds of times and still sit there on the page with a handful of reviews, quiet, almost invisible to anyone scrolling past it for the first time. That's where Fast Moon is right now. People are reading it. Far fewer are telling anyone else they did.
So I'm doing something about it.
What I'm actually asking for
I'm opening up a small review campaign — new copies, still free, still no strings — but this time the ask is direct: if you read it, or you read it again, leave a review. Amazon, Goodreads, wherever you land. A few honest sentences. That's genuinely all it takes.
I'm not asking for five stars. I'm asking for real ones. If something about the pacing bothered you, or a character didn't sit right, say that too. A handful of honest reviews does more for a book than a stack of polite silence ever will.
Why I'm telling you this instead of just quietly hoping
Because pretending everything about publishing runs itself doesn't help anyone, and because I'd rather ask plainly than not ask at all. Books don't get found by algorithms alone. They get found because someone took two minutes to say "read this," in public, where the next reader can see it.
If Fast Moon meant something to you — even a little, even just the parts that wouldn't leave you alone afterward — this is where that turns into something that helps the book keep finding people. It also helps Flood, Book Two, find its own readers when the time comes — a series only travels as far as its first book carries it.
